The University of Ljubljana is the largest higher education and scientific research institution in Slovenia. It has more than 40,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students with approx. 5,600 employees. The university is listed amongst the top 500 universities in the world according to the ARWU Shanghai, Times THES-QS and WEBOMETRICS rankings. It also carries out its developmental pedagogical and research activity within the framework of EU programmes CIP, ERASMUS+, TEMPUS, SAfer Internet Plus, COST, EUREKA, LIFE+, etc. It is a member of international networks such as UNICA, Utrecht Network, IRUN, EUA, and runs an ongoing student and staff exchange with over 500 universities worldwide.
