Technical training in GIT for LAND (II) in Yerevan, Armenia.

The third presential Technical Training of the project, with the main topic “GIT for Land Management”, was held at the Armenian National Agrarian University (ANAU), in Yerevan, in October 10-12, 2022. The technical training was part of task 3.3 “Deliver GIT training courses” and was divided into 3 topics: (1) “Gravity, geoid and geodetic reference systems” and “National geodetic infrastructures”, imparted by Dr. Huaan Fan from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH); (2) “UAV data acquisition on filed”, “UAV photogrammetric flight planning” and “UAV photogrammetric data processing and information extraction”, imparted by Bujar Fetai and Jernej Tekavec from the University of Ljubljana (UL), and Juan Pedro Carbonell and Jesús Torralba from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV); and (3) “Land mapping using hyperspectral data ” given by Dr. Jonathan C-W Chan from Vrije Universitat Brussel (VUB).

During the same week, Dr. Carlos Machado from the Vrije Universitat Brussel (VUB) conducted a session on curriculum development implementation, targeted to managers and responsible for curriculum development in partner countries universities.

The attendance to Yerevan was approximately of 30 teachers and technicians from Kyrgyzstan (OshTU, KSMU, KSUCTA and Goscartography) and Armenia (NUACA, ANAU, YSU).
